Painting and Sketching Village Churches
Much of my painting and sketching is done in the form of projects where I set myself a series of objectives to achieve. However, on this project, painting and sketching village churches, I went way past the original remit, eventually taking two years to reach a conclusion.
I had originally planned to paint and sketch village churches in Shropshire where I do much of my outdoor work but, having read about other interesting churches in the rest of England, I expanded my horizons to include some of these, eventually visiting over 100 village churches.
I learned much of historical interest and found information about churches that were built many hundreds of years ago.
